Dump Truck Driver to Connect With Smart City Program

In order to prevent misuse and monitor the dump truck existence, the entire of dump truck driver in city will be equipped by smartphone. This is aimed to support the program which connected to Smart City.

“First of all is to monitor the driver, secondly, to anticipate whether the truck is operating or not. The last is, let the driver work as his jobdesk and responsibility,” said Head of North Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department, Bondan Diah Ekowati, Tuesday (5/12).

Ekowati admitted, around 50 drivers have followed the training and equipped by android smartphone. “They have no chance to lie, in fact they went to Sunter instead to Bantar Gebang. Thus this is like a control machine of their existence,” she said.
Unfortunately, only 50 out of 178 drivers already used smartphone. That was because not all the entire drivers can afford buy smartphone. Therefore, this policy applied gradually.
Her side will give strict sanction for those driver who break the rule. “Fired the driver if they ignorant,” she uttered.
